Library time....

As the weather's getting colder and darker and wetter, we all start looking for indoor activities. It's time to shout out to our local libraries! Libraries are absolutely amazing places and well worth remembering if you're wondering where you can take the kids in half term. Newbury and Tadley are big libraries and often lay on workshops, story times and other activities during half term, and we are lucky to still have lots of smaller libraries open around West Berkshire (Burghfield, Theale, Thatcham and Mortimer all have libraries.) Librarians are wonderful, kind, helpful people; libraries are free to join; they've got comfy sofas and computers you can use for free; they lend books, DVDs and sometimes even really exciting things like microbit sets; and some of them even have coffee!

Libraries need support to stay open - if people don't use them, they don't get the funding they need - so if you're not already well acquainted with your library, please do consider dropping in and seeing everything they've got to offer.

"Knowledge is free at your library. Just bring your own container." (unknown)
