Our Vision
"Life in all its fullness" (John 10:10)
At Aldermaston CE Primary School, we are a nurturing Christian community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
Guided by our vision of Life in all its fullness, we inspire children to grow in Curiosity, Compassion and Courage, enabling them to discover their unique gifts, fulfil their God-given potential and make a positive difference in the world.
How Our Vision Was Developed
Our vision and values were developed in partnership with our whole school community. We listened to the views of pupils, parents, staff and governors to identify what makes Aldermaston CE Primary School special and the qualities we want every child to develop during their time with us.
The result is a vision that reflects both who we are today and the aspirations we have for every child. Rooted in our Christian foundation, it provides a shared purpose that underpins every aspect of school life.
Our Values
Our values are at the heart of everything we do. They are woven into every aspect of school life, shaping our relationships, decision-making and learning. We explore our values through daily collective worship, celebrate them through the life of our school, and ensure they are the golden thread that runs throughout our curriculum. By embedding Curiosity, Compassion and Courage in all that we do, we enable our children to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Curiosity
Wonder • Explore • Discover
We encourage children to ask questions, think deeply and develop a lifelong love of learning. Curiosity inspires children to explore the world around them with confidence, creativity and a sense of wonder.
Compassion
Care • Understand • Serve
Compassion is at the heart of our school community. We encourage children to show kindness, empathy and respect, supporting one another and making a positive difference through their actions.
Courage
Believe • Persevere • Shine
We empower children to embrace challenge, persevere when things are difficult and stand up for what is right. Through courage, children develop the confidence to become the very best version of themselves.
Spiritual Development
Our vision and values are closely linked to our approach to spiritual development through the Windows, Mirrors and Doors framework.
- Windows encourage children to look out at the world with curiosity, noticing its beauty, asking questions and developing a sense of awe and wonder.
- Mirrors provide opportunities to reflect on thoughts, feelings and beliefs, helping children grow in compassion, empathy and understanding.
- Doors inspire children to put their learning into action with courage, making positive choices and contributing to their community and the wider world.
This approach helps children grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually, ensuring they are equipped to flourish and live life in all its fullness.
