18 February 2022

The first week back we are celebrating Book Week in school and there are loads of exciting things planned. The first, and the highlight for lots of children, is our dress up day - this is happening on Monday 28th February. Your child is warmly invited to dress up as a character from a favourite book, and to bring the book into school.

Here are some links to give you ideas and inspiration. Please note that you really don't need to spend money on book day costumes (although the supermarkets seem to have increasingly huge quantities in stock!) - there are loads of simple options based around the things your child already has in their wardrobe. Think pyjamas, onesies, football kits, school uniform, jeans. I've attached some links below to sites with loads of fantastic ideas.

It would be wonderful if your child could bring their book in with them. Please make sure it's named. Common sense for safety, of course - no weapons please!

Look out on Google Classrooms and in today's school newsletter for our Book Week Flyer - this gives lots more details about what we have planned for Book Week.
