Aldermaston Cross Country Championships
Congratulations to Keyser House Group who won the annual Aldermaston Cross Country Championships.
Our championships took place last Friday. Every child ran in an age grouped race and the first ten children to finish scored points for their house groups. For our Wrens Class, this was their first whole school running event. They were well supported by Year 6 and all achieved a full lap of the school with ease and lots of big smiles. The Robins Class completed two laps – very competitively. Years 3 and 4 completed four laps and Years 5 and 6 needed even more stamina to finish their six lap race.
We were so impressed by the children’s enthusiasm and perseverance, as well as the support they gave to each other. Despite the rather damp conditions, it was a fantastic sporting event. Many thanks to our Sports Ambassadors, House Captains and Deputy House Captains who helped us to set up and run this event.
