Whole school visit to The Watermill theatre
The Watermill theatre provided us with more than the ‘bare necessities’ of fantastic entertainment for our visit today. Their version of the Jungle Book was packed with wonderful inspiring music and dance alongside lovely messages about belonging and caring for each other.
We’ve very fortunate to have access to the Watermill Theatre and its beautiful local setting to provide children with this experience. We know that attending the theatre helps with children’s skills in storytelling, language development and social communication and the oracy skills of the actors were very impressive. Best of all, it’s something we do together as a school family!
Our children were a credit to the school and joined in with the performance whenever invited. They were also very tuneful on the journey home! Many thanks to Mrs Boyden for her work in organising this trip and to all the staff and volunteers who gave their support today.
