Reading Records

At Aldermaston, every child keeps a record of their home and school reading in an Aldermaston Reading Record, which is renewed every term. Specific, age related reading skills are targeted and practised through individual and guided reading sessions in school, and new vocabulary is identified and recorded. Once a week, all the reading records are collected in and checked, with house points recognising the efforts of every child to read at home.

“It reminds you to keep your reading going.” (Year 3)
